The very face of classic Southern soul is Otis Redding, whose incendiary and passionate singing and stage presence came as close as anyone's to transferring the energy, explosiveness, and drive of Southern gospel into the secular pop world of soul. Otis Redding's recording career really only lasted five years, from 1962 through 1967 (seven studio albums in all), and the balance of it, along with his biggest hits, really only came in the last two years of that time, with his biggest hit and first number one, "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay," released after his death. All of it was enough, though, to establish Redding as the greatest performer of the classic deep soul era, a designation he undoubtedly deserves.
This wonderful three-disc, 70-track set collects all of Redding's singles, both the A- and B-sides, including a couple of holiday releases, plus his singles with fellow Stax Records star Carla Thomas, in the original mono mixes. Mono is how these tracks were meant to be heard, mixed to sound powerful blasting from radios and jukeboxes, and even played through 21st century sound devices, these mixes are incredible to hear, all power and passion. This was — and is — soul.

Sean “Harmonica Mac” McGroarty
A roadie from the age of 13, Sean traveled the country with some of the biggest rock & blues bands of the late 70’s & early 80’s. Later learning to play the blues harp himself, Sean has taught under & performed with Blues Hall of Fame legend Darrell Mansfield and others such as Tommy Castro, Rod Piazza & Ana Popovic. Awarded Harmonica Player of the Year and Band Leader of the Year for 2013 by the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame as well as a finalist for the IBC Best Harmonica Player Award in Memphis sponsored by Lee Oskar for 2012 & 2013, Sean & the Used Blues Band have performed at the world famous Monterey Blues Festival as well as countless clubs & and with other blues artists throughout California.

Gary “Guitar” Anthony -Guitar
Gary is a seasoned guitarist having spent over 20 years as a professional studio guitarist, is one of the newest members of the Las Vegas Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and he has performed with Brent Midland of The Grateful Dead, Jazz Hammond great Terell Prude’, blues singer Archie Johnson and many more. Touring at venues such as Disneyland, Harrah’s Tahoe, Circle Star Theater and the Concord Pavilion, Gary loves the stage and puts on a show every time he performs. His Format of “from the gut” blues riffs is moving every time he plays.

Raymond Victor- Piano/Organ Vocals
Raymond has worked as a studio musician in Los Angeles for ten years recording with Sly Stone, Steve Wonder, Bobby Womac and Larry Graham, and has performed with Bobby “Blue” Bland, Big Momma Thorton, Elvin Bishop, Kathi MacDonald, Steve Freund, Red Archibald and the Internationals and Luther Tucker.

Diane Dutra – Bass & Vocals
Diane, a bassist since the age of 9, soon began playing in the big leagues touring and performing with the likes of Marty Balin of Jefferson Starship, Luther Tucker, Jimmy McCracklin, Red Archbald & Alvon Johnson from the Coasters . She knows his way around the fret board and her bass tone and chops are a welcome addition to the band as well as her great vocals.

Steve Trovao – Drums
A full time teacher and performing musician, Steve is a professional from the word go. As one would expect, Steve has played with the standard laundry list of world class musicians and covers blues rock and many other styles. He is solid and reliable which in the blues world, seperates him from most drummers.

The “Blues Crew” is our legendary list of special guests who sit in with the band at many of our shows such as Alvon Johnson (formerly of the Coasters), Blues Hall of Fame giant Darrell Mansfield, Grammy winning Performer Ira Walker, Bobby Ray Watson (formerly with Ike Turner) and many more.
